The ischool webboard is a capability building approach to enable the teachers and students realize instruction and learning through the use of freely available computer software, public web applications, and re-usable digital content.
The pilot implementation is a collaboration between the Commission on Information and Communications Technology, Department of Education, and USAID Last Mile Initiative who engaged the services of a consultant who developed the ischool webboard capability building methods and tools, and guided the pilot trainings of selected teachers coming from different regions.
The ischool webboard pilot has evolved to become a user driven on-line social network for teachers to realize continous learning inside the Internet, and the shared webboard of aggregated Internet-based learning materials to improve the teaching of Mathematics, Sciences and English.
